Bérénice Boukaré

Regional Research Officer

Bérénice Boukaré is the Regional Research Officer for the Data & Research Unit in the IOM Regional Office in Dakar. She is in charge of coordinating and supporting the implementation of research activities in West and Central Africa. Under the DFID-funded programme ‘Safety, Support and Solutions’, the research studies aim to generate new evidence on specific intraregional and internal mobility trends, privileging a multi-country approach.

Bérénice worked for international organisations (CARE International, IMPACT Initiatives) and local organisations in West and Central Africa and in Latin America before joining the IOM. Bérénice holds a Master’s degree in Human Rights and Humanitarian Action from Sciences Po Paris, specialised in Migration and African studies.
