Sharing Data: Where to Start - An Emerging Approach to Migration Data Management

This book both offers a look at existing methods used to collection migration data as well as a fresh approach to building accurate, sustainable statistical migration data collection. In order to showcase this approach, the book includes a number of national case studies (Moldova, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and Ukraine) and weighs the specific challenges and priorities that affected the experience in each country. The authors look into other processes for collecting, applying, and sharing migration data. Lastly, they summarize the results achieved to date and perspectives in the field of future work and international cooperation in the field of migration statistics. Annexes provide specific examples on how to work with data management in practice.
