Quantifying the Impact of Highly-Skilled Emigration on Developing Countries

This paper offers an attempt to quantify the effect of skilled emigration on the countries of origin, which has been difficult to do due to the lack of harmonized data. The study begins with a literature review of related studies and a discussion of major trends in emigration. The authors provide a detailed account of the theory and methods behind their study, and plenty of visuals for those interested. Case studies from all over the world help supplement their findings.
